Pegboard hooks

For use with our Wall Pegboard Units and Gondola Peg Units.

Pegboard hook displays are a great way of displaying loads of products at eye level in a small retail display area. The versatility of pegboard displays means it is used not only for the widely seen bagged sweets and packets of nuts & bolts, it is ideal for both small products which get “lost” on shelves such as batteries, and large products which take up a lot of shelf space or are not suited to be on shelves such as car mats. Products can be changed around continually, encouraging impulse buys and promotional offers.

The strength of pegboard hooks is dependent on the cross sectional area of the peg hook, which means, a small increase in steel gauge can have a dramatic increase in the cross sectional area. For example 4.8mm gauge wire has nearly double the cross section area of a 3.4mm wire, so it is well worth comparing peg hook gauge before buying hooks. All of our pegboard hooks are suitable for 25mm hole spacing metal pegboard, except the 40mm single hooks which fit 30mm metal pegboard or slatwall.

There are two common designs of pegboard hook, the single prong hook and the looped or Euro hook.

Single Prong Pegboard Hooks

The single prong pegboard hook is the simplest type of pegboard hook. The main disadvantage of the single prong hook is the difficulty in displaying pricing information on the peg hook itself, this is less of an issue where the product is already price labelled or in a pound shop for instance where all products may be the same price. Plastic caps are available in red or black to fit over the end of the pegboard hook.

Red or black plastic caps can be added to the end of the single prong peg hook to enhance appearance and safety.

Euro (looped) Pegboard Hooks

Euro pegboard hooks have the advantage that a swinging price tag can be added to the end of the peg hook, these are available to take 25mm x 30mm price labels.

Single Pegboard Hook - 40mm

The 40mm single pegboard hook is suitable for 30mm spacing pegboard and also for slatwall. They are ideal for hanging small products where space is at a premium such as behind shop counters or on gondola promo ends.

Direct Entry Euro Pegboard Hooks

The direct entry or fast entry pegboard hooks are similar to the conventional euro peg hook, but have a locking device which secures the hook easily and securely into the perforated peg panels.  The peg hook doesn’t need to be tilted upwards during placement which means the hooks above don't need to be moved when arranging stock, if you use a lot of peg hooks this will save you considerable time and effort.  A slightly different variation is available with an overhead epos.  We stock the direct entry pegboard hook in limited quantities, if you require a large quantity please give us a call as we can source them quickly from our German supplier:
